Umuabi Christian Resource Centre (UCRC) is a child birth and answer to several prayers of umuabi people for God’s intervention in the community for meaningful development and growth in various areas including spiritual, economic, social, educational etc dimensions. UCRC is a non-denominational, non-political Christian organization open to all Umuabi indigenes living in Nigeria and abroad.
In middle of 2015 by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the process of forming a Christian Governmental charity based organization in the community started. UCRC ADULT SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION PROJECT
The UCRC has noted with burden and concern the negative effects of school dropouts in the community of Umuabi and other neighboring communities; such negative effects includes high rate of arm robbery, adult illiteracy, drug abuse and trafficking, sexual abuse and unwanted pregnancy, teenage pregnancy, cultism among others. Such vices can only be curtailed by diligent and conscious effort of rehabilitating and counseling and more importantly educating the individuals involved.
Howbeit, education remains a vital instrument in the fight to curtail and eradicate such social vices.
We have equally observed that individuals within the group described above are mainly adults who cannot fit-in in the conventional secondary education system since they are majorly adults. It then becomes clear that adult secondary education is the best for individuals like these.
OUR VISION FOR THE ADULTS SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION
ü To eradicate Adult illiteracy
ü To curtail social vices as a result of illiteracy
ü To develop individuals with sense of responsibility
ü To inculcate spirit of community well being, peace, unity and love among the individuals
ü To provide quality educational services that will give the individuals a wider life opportunities
ü To inculcate academic excellence and qualitative education that will defeat cases of examination malpractice as a Christian body in the community

1. Partnering with relevant educational bodies and Agencies such as local Government Education Authority (LGEA), State Ministry of Education, examination bodies (WAECE, NECO, NABTERS etc), Federal Ministry of Education, United Nations support organs and other International Education support agencies.
